Jade Roper Tolbert Accused Of Cheating To Win $1M Fantasy NFL Prize

5th Annual American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards - Arrivals

The Bachelor in Paradise couple Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert are under investigation for allegedly cheating to win a $1 million fantasy sports prize.

According to CNN, DraftKings is looking into collusion allegations against the stars, who participated in the NFL Playoff contest on DraftKings over the weekend. Jade won the prize, raising suspicions of unfair play from other players who believe they worked together to win.

Turns out, Jade and Tanner supposedly increased their chances of winning by entering the maximum amount of 150 picks each, with no overlaps. At $25 per entry, the Tolberts paid at least $7,500 collectively for the DraftKings contest. DraftKings officially addressed the claims on Monday (January 6), stating, "We take the integrity and fairness of our contests very seriously and are looking into this matter.”

In addition to colluding and “syndicate play” being outlined as “unacceptable behavior,” DraftKings also prohibits "team-building complementary lineups which serve to work together AND executing a strategy that may create any unfair advantage over individual play."

A representative for the Tolberts has since responded to the accusations."We respect that DraftKings feels they must do their due diligence in regard to Jade winning their $1 million dollar prize for the fantasy contest for the NFL's wild-card round this weekend," reads the statement. "Though we must ponder, would the questions, accusations and curiosity about this win be the same if the winner had been male and someone who wasn't already in the public eye? It is incredibly important for us to establish that Jade's win is nothing more than pure luck and we are confident that DraftKings will determine the same."
